The performance staged at the ArtStudiya Theatre Studio of the Azerbaijan State Theatre of Young Spectators is based on the play “Those Who Will Not See Tomorrow” (“Mother”) by Czech playwright Karel Čapek. The production portrays the struggle against fascism and the moral devastation and suffering brought by war.
The characters cannot see tomorrow, because war devours every living being like a dragon.

The play tells the story of how war destroys the family of Dolores, and through this family reflects the tragedy of all humankind.
Having lost her husband first and then all her children, Dolores sends her last hope — her youngest son Tonini — to defend the Motherland.

By doing this, she wants to say: even if children become Martyrs, may the Homeland live, and may no mother ever shed tears again.
The greatest strength of the performance lies in its powerful dramatism and universal message.
With this production, we say “No” to war.
